Founder Story
A Journey in Seals Beginning in 1986
In 1986, the founder of KBN officially entered the sealing industry.
This year was not the start of entrepreneurship, but the beginning of decades of professional deep cultivation.
1986 – 1994
Aerospace-Grade Sealing Systems, Laying the Technical Foundation
The starting point of his career came from a completed aerospace seal factory. As an engineer, the founder was long involved in the research and development and manufacturing of high-standard seals.
The extremely high requirements in the aerospace field for sealing performance, reliability, and consistency led him to establish nearly exacting standards for material selection, structural design, and manufacturing precision early in his career.
This experience became the foundation for all his subsequent technical judgments and profoundly shaped his understanding of "quality."
1994 – 2000
Entering Advanced Manufacturing Systems, From Technician to Chief Engineer
As the industry continued to develop, he gradually realized that truly leading sealing technology was not only derived from accumulated experience but also inseparable from advanced equipment, systematic processes, and standardized management systems.
In 1994, he joined a joint venture oil seal company, gaining comprehensive exposure to more mature technical pathways and an internationalized manufacturing system. Starting as a technician and after years of frontline practice, he gradually grew into the role of chief engineer, fully responsible for product technology, process optimization, and quality control.
During this stage, he completed the critical transition from a professional engineer to a technical decision-maker.
2000 – 2003
Entering the market, truly understanding customer needs
In 2000, the founder was invited to join a wholly Taiwanese-owned oil seal company, responsible for major customer sales and technical support.
Transitioning from a technical position to the market allowed him, for the first time, to re-examine the product from the customer's perspective:
An excellent oil seal not only needs to meet technical specifications but must also operate reliably, stably, and continuously under real-world conditions.
This experience gave him a deeper understanding of customer needs, application scenarios, and the after-sales market.
2003 – 2006
Cross-industry experience, broadening manufacturing knowledge
After leaving due to corporate restructuring, he joined a Taiwanese rubber processing equipment company as a key account manager.
Although the industry was different, his in-depth understanding of equipment stability, system compatibility, and end-use scenarios made his view of the manufacturing industry more complete and further reinforced his recognition of the critical role that processes and equipment play in product quality.
2006 – 2008
Comprehensive management, the helmsman of an oil seal company
In 2006, he returned to the seal industry and was hired as general manager by a Taiwanese oil seal company.
During this period, he was not only responsible for technology and products but also deeply involved in company operations, team management, and market strategy development, examining industry development and future directions from the overall perspective of the company.
